Senior Vice President/ Chief Client Officer

As Senior Vice President/Chief Client Officer, Lee Hayes is directly responsible for providing strategic direction and overseeing quality control of all agency accounts.  In addition to managing the firm’s Dallas office, he is also the day-to-day lead on the Harley-Davidson and Bahamas Ministry of Tourism accounts.

Hayes brings more than 17 years of experience to the firm in strategic planning, brand management, media relations, crisis management, community relations, editorial services and special event planning.

Prior to joining the agency, Hayes worked as an independent communications consultant in Minneapolis, where he partnered with numerous private, government and not-for-profit organizations to develop or reinforce various aspects of their communications strategy. His clients included such organizations as the Chicago Public Schools, St. Paul Fire Department, Milwaukee Fire Department, Courage Center and the National Marrow Donor Program.

Before working as a communications consultant, Hayes served as Chief of Communications & Public Affairs at Minneapolis Public Schools, where he was directly responsible for overseeing both internal and external communications for the 40,000-student school district, the 13th largest employer in the state of Minnesota.

A former columnist for the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder, Hayes has also written for such publications as the Chicago Tribune, Minneapolis Star Tribune, St. Paul Pioneer Press, Ebony, Essence and Savoy Professional.  

Hayes holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations from Metropolitan State University. He is also an active member of Public Relations Society of America and the National Association of Black Journalists, as well as a board member of the National Black Public Relations Society.
